A phrase that sometimes gets on my nerves and makes me a little desperate: "Living by realizing your passions". Yes, you know, passion is roughly those things that should make us tremble with excitement, make you want to get up in the morning or not go to bed at night. Even if this passion that will make us happy in this world means leaving a city, a job or a partner, it is unique to us and the only reason we can be happy in this world, right? 🤮 But on the other hand, when we don't know what our passion is, we feel a little excluded from people who have discovered these passions and we give the impression that we do not enjoy life, it is empty and it is harder to be happy. But I'm sure we can all find things that excite us, we just need to ask ourselves the right questions!
Finding your passion in life
Almost as long as I can remember, I have been searching for what my passion in life is . With some enthusiasm, I started classical dancing, with even less enthusiasm, I played basketball for a while, I devoted 2 years of my life to contemporary literature, I occasionally collected postcards, and I still spend long hours learning about handicrafts, painting or winter sports. I have always wanted to have a passion and have envied those people who can spend a lot of time doing a sport, art or activity while moving from one subject to another.
So, I can say that I am actually a passionate person, but I cannot continue for a long time 😁. I can get excited about a topic right away, linger on it for longer or shorter periods of time, and then suddenly move on to something else.
I wonder if I'm not persevering enough or investing enough. Or maybe this thing we call passion is not what we think.

📣 Keep these in mind!
We don't have to have just one passion: The first thing you need to understand when searching for your passion is that there doesn't have to be just one passion that will follow you throughout your life. Passions vary with age, experiences and contexts. To find out what excites us, we should start by making a list of what we like, what we enjoy doing, and what we do well.
🙆 Everything can be a passion! There is no need to compare yourself to those whose passions fill their entire lives or even those who have made a career out of it. Sometimes passions are the things we love doing the most, but they are not necessarily the purpose of our life.
Instead of experiencing your passion and failing, sometimes it may be beneficial to not have that passion at all: first of all, let's avoid limiting ourselves in this matter of passion. But since everything can become a passion, it is useful to be realistic about the motivations we put behind a passion. In other words, passion does not mean realizing that I love singing and saying that I will be Ajda Pekkan. You must be honest with yourself because it is this honesty that will help you fully live your passion without pressure and fear of failure .
They say; "If you want to make a movie, all you need is the equipment that will allow you to shoot a movie. Get out of the victim mentality by saying 'I had nothing to do'. Then we need to stop sabotaging ourselves and do what makes us tremble... Again, do what makes you feel excited and alive like a child." To find it and have it for life!
If I can't find my passion in life...?
These questions aim to help find what truly excites us, rekindling the flame of childhood, of innocence, away from adult fears, responsibilities and prejudices. It also helps you get to know yourself better , discover your interests, the sectors that interest you, and the areas that make you dream. But there are other ways you can explore to find your passion:
- being curious and open-minded
